What we sell

Curated pre-owned and new consumer technology: laptops, desktops, phones, tablets, monitors, audio, gaming hardware, cameras, optics and related accessories. Each item's specific condition, specification and price are stated on its own product page.

Price and payment

All prices are shown in South African Rand and are the full amount payable for the goods. Any delivery fee is quoted and added before you pay. Payment is by electronic funds transfer (EFT or instant EFT) against an invoice we issue. We do not process card payments on this website and do not store card details, and we do not accept cryptocurrency or gift cards.

Delivery

Collection by appointment in Cape Town, or insured courier countrywide (the courier fee is quoted per parcel). Orders are carried out within the time agreed with you and, in any event, within 30 days of the sale being arranged, unless a different period is agreed.

Records and your order

When a sale is arranged we issue an invoice electronically. Please keep it; a copy is available on request, and we keep transaction records for at least five years, as tax law requires. Before you pay, the invoice sets out the item, its price and any delivery fee, so you can check the details, correct any error, or decide not to proceed. You are free to withdraw at any time before payment.

Policies

Sales are subject to our Terms & Conditions. Returns and refunds are governed by our Returns & Refunds Policy. Personal information is handled in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013, as set out in our Privacy Policy.

Your cancellation and consumer rights

If you are a natural person and your purchase is concluded electronically, you have a seven-day cooling-off right (section 44 of ECTA) and rights on defective goods (sections 55 and 56 of the CPA), as set out in our Returns & Refunds Policy.

Codes of conduct and accreditation

We are not currently a member of any self-regulatory or accreditation scheme. Complaints may be referred to the ombud named below.

Complaints and dispute resolution

Please raise any complaint with us first at hello@valto.co.za. If it is not resolved, you may refer it to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (www.cgso.org.za), the National Consumer Commission, or the relevant provincial consumer authority.
